Notice about Prudential's emergency plan for the crash of China Eastern Airlines flight

On 21st March 2022, China Eastern Airlines MU5735, involving 132 passengers and crew members on board, was on its way from Kunming to Guangzhou and unfortunately crashed over Wuzhou, Guangxi. 

Prudential offers our heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those who were lost on board the China Eastern flight. We share the sorrow and helplessness experienced by the victims’ families.

In this sad moment, Prudential stands ready to provide assistance to the victimised customers, if any, and their families affected by this tragic accident:

 

  • A special subsidy of RMB$100,000 for the bereaved families of our victimised customers

  • Emergency contact hotline: A hotline +852 2281 1333 (press “*”) for priority handling and response to inquiries concerning this incident, attended by dedicated personnel

  • Proactive follow up with affected customers: We will check the victim list to ascertain coverage

  • Activate Green Channel Payment: We will offer prioritised services to families of the victimised customers and expedite claims settlement

  • No-policy claim settlement service: There is no requirement for victimised customers to present insurance policies for filing claims

  • Simplified claims settlement process: Accelerates and simplifies claims settlement procedures

  • Speedy and direct settlement: Claims relating to this incident will be credited directly to the claimants’ bank accounts in China

  • Emotional support helpline: A dedicated hotline is available to relatives of victimised customers

  • Post-disaster relief efforts: Our front-line colleagues stand by to offer all-out assistance to the families of our victimised customers
