Prudential Hong Kong Wins Three Awards at BENCHMARK Wealth Management Awards 2012

(30 November 2012 - Hong Kong) The Prudential Assurance Company Limited, Hong Kong Branch ("Prudential Hong Kong") underlines its leading position in the market by winning three awards at the BENCHMARK Wealth Management Awards 2012.

 

The awards won by Prudential Hong Kong were:

  • Critical Illness Product: Best-in-Class
  • Social Media Engagement Award - Insurance: Best-in-Class
  • Training and Development - Insurance: Outstanding Achiever

Mr. Iain McConnachie, Chief Marketing Officer of Prudential Hong Kong, said, "We are so proud to receive such a great recognition in our first year of participation since the Awards were launched in 2010. It is a testament to our commitment to providing comprehensive life protection and financial planning solutions to our customers through excellent service, professional financial advice and innovative interactive platforms."

Apart from product development, Prudential Hong Kong also has been proactively engaging the public's understanding of financial planning and medical protection through a series of innovative tools and the use of social media such as facebook and campaign websites. As netizens are become increasingly interested in interacting through social media, Prudential Hong Kong launched a facebook fan page in 2011 to co-ordinate various online activities and customer promotions to encourage participation.

In addition, Prudential Hong Kong also developed a Mobile platform and application to cater for the communication habits of the younger generation. "The social media platform is becoming more influential than ever and we foresee it is going to be an alternative and interactive way to communicate and engage with our customers and increase brand awareness." Mr. McConnachie commented.

Prudential Hong Kong also earned the acclaim for its professional training and development programmes which has a strong emphasis on building well-rounded skill sets of Financial Consultants, not only enhancing their sales techniques, but enabling them to understand customers better. Mr. Jones Lam, Deputy Chief Agency Officer - Professional Development said, "Prudential Hong Kong established the Academy of Financial Services to provide comprehensive and systematic development programmes to Financial Consultants in 2004. The award shows a clear acknowledgement of our professional training and development programmes that help our Financial Consultants plan and deliver a wide range of insurance products to satisfy our customers' needs."
