(9 June 2023, Hong Kong) "DOUBLE DUCKS by Florantijn Hofman, a major art exhibition in Hong Kong supported by lead sponsor Prudential Hong Kong Limited (“Prudential”) will set sail tomorrow, aiming to spread happiness and rally the whole city towards “Celebrating Life.”

The DOUBLE DUCKS officiating event, which took place at the Central and Western District Promenade today, was attended by Lilian Ng, Managing Director, Strategic Business Group of Prudential plc and Lawrence Lam, Chief Executive Officer of Prudential Hong Kong; joined by the Dutch artist Hofman, SK Lam, founder of the organiser AllRightsReserved, Dutch Consul-General Mr. Arjen Van Den BERG, other sponsors and supporting partners.

“In celebration of the 175th Anniversary of Prudential, we are delighted to welcome the return of the beloved giant Rubber Duck to Hong Kong. Expanding our celebrations beyond traditional boundaries, we have curated a diverse range of online and offline activities that span across multiple touchpoints in Hong Kong. This brings to all Hongkongers a taste of the city’s vitality and charisma, while embracing the spirit of ‘Celebrating Life’,” said Lawrence Lam, Chief Executive Officer at Prudential Hong Kong Limited.

From 10 June 2023 onwards for around two weeks, the enchanting duo of gigantic Rubber Ducks will swim as a pair at the Victoria Harbour and reunite with HongKongers. Inspired by symmetrical Chinese characters for "囍" (happiness) and "朋" (friends), their presence symbolises prosperity in partnership and friendship, as well as doubling the happiness of coming together as one. To commemorate the historic 10th Anniversary of Rubber Duck visit to Hong Kong, Prudential will distribute special edition Rubber Duck balloons at five locations including Central, Admiralty, Causeway Bay, Tsim Sha Tsui and Mong Kok at 12:30pm on 9 June on a first-come, first-served basis.

In addition, Prudential will roll out a photo contest on its Facebook and Instagram page on 10 June. By following the instructions to share the extraordinary life moments, the most creative participants stand a chance to win one of the 100 pairs of limited-edition Double Duck collectibles.
