(17 March 2026, Hong Kong) Prudential General Insurance Hong Kong Limited ("Prudential") today announced the launch of "PRUChoice Power Up Go Insurance," specifically designed for the dynamic lifestyles and diverse work patterns of the younger generation aged 18 to 30. With a daily premium of less than HK$11, the plan offers a practical and flexible protection solution to assist young people in navigating a fast-paced and ever-changing risk environment.
Aspiring by living a dynamic lifestyle, young people nowadays actively pursue new challenges, enjoy life to the fullest, and actively living in both the online and offline world. Yet, Prudential's latest annual "Financial Wellbeing Tracker"2 survey revealed that the overall financial health score of young respondents decreased by 9.8 points year-on-year, indicating that their pursuit of ideal lifestyles comes with greater financial pressure and uncertainty.
“PRUChoice Power Up Go Insurance” is specifically designed to comprehensively address their protection needs. Besides personal accident and third-party coverage, this plan also includes rare-in-market coverage3 for event compensation and mental health support to offer enhanced protection. Its cyber protection also covers financial losses arising from online transactions, including non-delivery or accidental damage of online purchases4.
The plan also offers three optional medical protection benefits, all unrestricted by any medical network, to suit the personal pace of life and budget of the younger generation.

1.Personal Accident
Cover for accidental death and other permanent disabilities directly as a direct result of accident, in accordance with the benefit limit specified in the Scale of Benefits.

2.Third Party Liability
Indemnity for legal liability for bodily injury or property damage to a third party as a result of insured person’s negligence.
3.Mental Health Support
Reimburses the eligible expenses of psychiatrist / clinical psychologist consultations in Hong Kong for Mental Illness with first consultation happened within 6 months due to being a victim of specified criminal offense incident, including doxxing and assault.

4.Event Compensation
Reimburse the irrecoverable deposits or charges paid for attending an entertainment event in the event the insured person cannot attend/cancel the event that is held within two weeks of a surgery due to accidental injury or illness.
5.Personal Money and Cyber Protection
Cover losses arising from the loss of personal cash or unauthorised use of a credit card in Hong Kong, transactions made at the fraudulent websites of Licensed Bank in Hong Kong, non-delivery or accidental damage of online purchases, and identity theft.

6.Hospitalisation Expenses^
Covers the necessarily and reasonably incurred medical expenses of hospitalisation, surgery incurred as a result of bodily injury sustained from accident or illness.

7.Top-up Medical^#
For medical expenses incurred for hospitalisation or surgery due to accidental injury or illness, the plan reimburses 80% of the eligible remaining balance after the deduction of an excess of HK$30,000 or any compensation received from the insured person's group or individual insurance (whichever is higher).

8.Outpatient Expenses
No medical network restrictions. Cover for both general practitioner and specialist consultation fees, as well as the cost of prescribed medication, and also cover the X-Ray and laboratory test fees.
Maximum reimbursement of HK$500 per visit, with a co-payment of HK$50 per visit, for up to 15 visits per year.

^ When a claim occurs, the insured person must first claim from any other group or individual insurance. The remaining unreimbursed and eligible expenses can then be claimed under Item Six - Hospitalisation Expenses and/or Item Seven- Top-up Medical, after the deduction of the excess (if applicable), up to the maximum benefit amount.
# If the insured person is covered by both Item Six - Hospitalisation Expenses and Item Seven - Top-up Medical, Prudential will first pay benefits under Item Six - Hospitalisation Expenses. Any remaining expenses will then be reimbursed under Item Seven – Top-up Medical.

Furthermore, customers who apply for any "PRUChoice Power Up Go Insurance" optional cover will receive a Klook e-gift card valued at HK$500, allowing young people to travel and have fun with peace of mind6!
