Prudential strengthens partnership with IHH Healthcare North Asia to expand Medical Expenses Direct Billing Service network across Hong Kong and Chinese mainland

(10 November 2025, Hong Kong) Following an earlier strategic partnership to offer Medical Expenses Direct Billing Service at Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong, Prudential Hong Kong Limited (“Prudential”) today announced an expanded collaboration with IHH Healthcare North Asia. This enhanced partnership enables eligible Prudential customers to access efficient and streamlined cross-border Medical Expenses Direct Billing Service at both the newly opened Gleneagles MediCentre in Hong Kong and Parkway Shanghai Hospital.

Prudential is the first Hong Kong insurer to partner with IHH Healthcare North Asia in extending the Shanghai-Hong Kong healthcare network. Since establishing its partnership with Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong in 2018, Prudential has consistently reinforced its commitment to delivering a seamless, one-stop experience through value-added healthcare services. The expanded collaboration addresses the rising demand for high-quality cross-border healthcare services and reinforces Prudential’s integrated healthcare ecosystem across Hong Kong and major cities in mainland China.

According to Prudential's "2025 Half Year Individual Life Claims Report," the number of claims processed through its Medical Expenses Direct Billing Service surged by 87% year-on-year in the first half of the year, highlighting the growing demand for such services.

Medical Expenses Direct Billing Service for eligible Prudential customers

Eligible Prudential customers can now seek pre-approval for medical expenses at Gleneagles MediCentre or Parkway Shanghai Hospital before treatment. These institutions will assist in submitting the request to Prudential, which will directly settle approved expenses after treatment. Customers also benefit from priority appointment bookings and room arrangements, ensuring faster access to care. By offering one-stop support – from scheduling to consultation and treatment –Prudential provides a seamless healthcare experience that allows customers to focus on recovery and well-being.
