Supported by lead sponsor Prudential and coinciding with the 10th anniversary of its first visit to Hong Kong, “DOUBLE DUCKS by Florentijn Hofman” will make a comeback to the Victoria Harbour, reuniting with Hongkongers following a world tour during which it travelled to over 20 cities. Inspired by symmetrical Chinese characters "囍"（happiness) and "朋" (friends), this old friend will bring a companion for the first time to the calm blue waters of Hong Kong. It is symbolising prosperity in partnership and friendship, as well as doubling the happiness of coming together as one.
To commemorate the long-awaited return of the Rubber Duck and Prudential’s 175th Anniversary, a special edition of Rubber Duck balloons will be distributed at different sites across Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. Citizens will be able to take selfies with the adorable pair at photo spots set up at designated areas that will tie in with interactive games.
The “Double Duck” will also be on land! There will be interactive panels, being used for the first time, at the Hong Kong MTR Station; advertising panels at the Admiralty MTR Station, an outdoor 3D advertisement panel at Tsim Sha Tsui Pier; as well as the LED screen at the Star House etc. Prudential will also roll out a photo contest on its Facebook and Instagram pages to give away limited-edition Rubber Duck collectibles. 1,750 free tickets for THE FUNFAIR Prudential 175th Anniversary Music Festival
At THE FUNFAIR Prudential 175th Anniversary Music Festival, to be held on the evening of 18 June at AsiaWorld-Expo, popular stars including MC Cheung, Panther Chan and Dear Jane will be performing more than 20 songs on stage to spread the festive atmosphere.
As part of the 175th Anniversary celebration, Prudential will give away 1,750 free tickets for the music festival. The music festival will be broadcast live via Prudential’s YouTube channel and Facebook page for the public to enjoy these joyful moments together. More details will be announced on Prudential’s official website, Facebook and Instagram pages on 1 June.
