Exclusive privileges of the "Lifestyle Passport"

Terms and Conditions

Eligibility

  1. The "Lifestyle Passport" (“the Privilege”) is provided by Prudential Hong Kong Limited ("Prudential" or "we"). The offer period is from 23 April to 31 August 2024, inclusive of the first and last days ("Offer Period").

  2. The Privilege is exclusively available to customers who are 18 years old or above and hold a valid visa / entry permit for any of the following Hong Kong’s admission schemes (“Eligible Customer”): Top Talent Pass Scheme (TTPS), Technology Talent Admission Scheme (TechTAS), Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates (IANG), Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS), Admission Scheme for Talents and Professionals (ASMTP), and Capital Investment Entrant Scheme (CIES).

  3. Eligible Customers must meet the following qualifications within the Offer Period:


    First Year Annualised Premium requirement and registration conditions

    Privilege

    (i) Insure with an eligible policy with a First Year Annualised Premium of HK$500,000 or above (excluding levy, if applicable), and 

    One "Lifestyle Passport"

    (ii) Completed and submitted the “Lifestyle Passport” Eligibility Registration form

  4. The Privilege is limited in availability and will be provided to the first 200 Eligible Customers (i) who successfully sign up for an eligible policy that meet the required First Year Annualised Premium during the Offer Period, and (ii) complete the "Lifestyle Passport" Eligibility Registration Form on a first-come-first-serve basis, and (iii) whose policy has been issued.

  5. Only an individual life insurance policy that meet all the following listed requirements are eligible for the Privilege ("Eligible Policy"), otherwise, the Privilege will be forfeited without further notice:

    i. Eligible Customers must have successfully applied for and submitted the completed application form to Prudential through the Agency channel or Broker channel of Prudential for an individual life insurance policy (only including basic plan) during the Offer Period. The policy must be provided and underwritten by Prudential and excludes (i) general insurance policies, (ii) investment-linked assurance schemes, or (iii) supplementary benefits.

    ii. The First Year Annualised Premium of the policy (excluding any applicable premium levy, if applicable) must reach HKD 500,000 or more (or its equivalent).

    iii. The policy must have been successfully issued by Prudential on or before 31 October 2024.

    iv. The policy must remain in effect after the cooling-off period has ended and during the fulfillment of the Privilege redemption.

    v. The Eligible Customer must be the policyholder of the life insurance plan.

    vi. All the premiums and levy(ies) must have been fully settled when due.

  6. "First Year Annualised Premium" refers to the First Year Annualised Premium of the Eligible Policy. The % amount of premium paid per Eligible Policy shall be calculated as 10% for a single premium policy or 100% for an annual premium policy. If the premium of the Eligible Policy is paid on a non-annual basis, its first year annualised premium shall be the total amount of premium payments made in the first 12 months. For example, if the premium of the Eligible Policy is paid on a monthly basis, the respective First Year Annualised Premium shall be equal to 12 times the monthly payment.

  7. For any alterations of the Eligible Policy after policy issuance (within or after the cooling-off period) which results in a reduction of premium payable within the premium term (including but not limited to a downgrade of plan level / decrease in sum assured / decrease in notional amount / decrease in guaranteed monthly annuity or change of premium term), the Privilege for the respective Eligible Policy will be totally forfeited without further notice. For any alterations of the Eligible Policy after policy issuance (within or after the cooling-off period) which result in an increase of premium payable within the premium term (including but not limited to an upgrade of plan level / increase in sum assured / increase in notional amount / increase in guaranteed monthly annuity or change of premium term), the increased portion of the increased premium will not be calculated in the First Year Annualised Premium. Notwithstanding the above, if there is any change of premium payment mode during the first policy year, the Eligible Policy will still be qualified for the Privilege provided that the First Year Annualised Premium of the Basic Plan(s) must be at least HKD 500,000 (excluding levy, if applicable). In addition, if there is a change of policyholder under the Basic Plan(s) after policy issuance (within or after the cooling-off period) and before the Privilege is given out, the Privilege for the respective Eligible Policy will be totally forfeited without further notice.

  8. The First Year Annualised Premium is calculated in HKD. For policies in other currencies, the exchange rate of AUD 1 to HKD 6, CAD 1 to HKD 6.5, GBP 1 to HKD 11, RMB 1 to HKD 1.2 or USD 1 to HKD 7.8 will be applied to determine the HKD-equivalent First Year Annualised Premium.

  9. This Privilege is on a per-policy basis. Each Eligible Customer can only enjoy the Privilege once.

  10. Prudential retains the right to determine the eligibility of individuals for the Privilege. No appeals will be entertained.

  11. The Privilege will not be offered to the insurance policie(s) applied for or in force on or before 22 April 2024 or to any policy conversion.


Offer redemption

  1. Eligible Customers who have successfully registered for the Privilege will receive a redemption letter through email or SMS before 31 January 2025 for the redemption of the Privilege, which will include instructions on how to redeem the designated items under the Privilege and the related redemption code.

  2. The Privilege must be redeemed within the specified period in Hong Kong. If the Eligible Customer fails to redeem the Privilege within the specified timeframe for any reason, their eligibility will be considered void.

  3. Prudential will not provide notifications to customers who do not receive the Privileges once all 200 sets are fully distributed.

  4. Redemption letters and privileges will be issued only once to customers. No replacements will be provided if they are lost.


Other

  1. The designated items under the Privilege are provided by product or service suppliers who are independent third-parties. Prudential is not the supplier of the products or services and is not the agent of such supplier. Prudential shall not be responsible or liable for the quality, supply, or any consequences arising from the use of the products or services. In the event of any dispute, please contact the product or service suppliers directly to resolve the matter.

  2. The designated items under the Privilege are subject to the terms and conditions of the service provider. For details, please refer to the terms and conditions in the redemption letter.

  3. Prudential reserves the right to change any terms and conditions of this Privilege without issuing further notices. In the event of any disputes, Prudential shall have the absolute discretion to make the final decision.

  4. The Privilege cannot be transferred, resold, or remarketed, nor can it be exchanged for cash or other services.

  5. The Privilege cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer apart from premium refund offers.

  6. Prudential reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Privilege at any time without prior notice.

  7. The provision of personal information for registration of the Privilege is voluntary. By submitting the “Lifestyle Passport” Eligibility Registration form, Eligible Customers confirm their understanding of and agreement to: (i) the contents of the Personal Information Collection Statement; (ii) the Privacy Policy of Prudential; (iii) Prudential's use of the customer’s personal information for the purpose of processing the redemption of the "Lifestyle Passport" that is initiated by Prudential and provided by New World Development; (iv) if required, the customer agrees to provide documentation proving the customer’s eligibility under the Hong Kong’s admission scheme; (v) the Eligible Customer confirms that the information and documents provided are true and correct; (vi) all terms and conditions of the Privilege.

  8. Apart from the Eligible Customers and Prudential, no other person has the right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance to enforce any provision of these terms and conditions, or to enjoy any benefits under any provision of these terms and conditions.

  9. If there is any conflict between the information contained in the promotional materials and these terms and conditions, these terms and conditions shall prevail.

  10. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the Hong Kong Courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these terms and conditions.

  11. In the event of discrepancies between the Chinese and English versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.

  12. The life insurance policies are underwritten by Prudential and is / are subject to all the respective policy terms and conditions. For product information, please refer to the terms and conditions set out in the product brochure and specimen policy(ies) issued by Prudential.

  13. Prudential reserves the right to accept or reject any applications based on the information provided by the policyholder and / or the insured at the time of application.
