(Hong Kong, 12 November 2003) The "Family Hug Campaign" photo collection, launched by The Prudential Assurance Company Limited ("Prudential") earlier, has received encouraging responses. The campaign ended amiably with an enjoyable one-day local tour shared by the winners and their family members.
Having gone through SARS, Hong Kong citizens deeply realize the importance of family support. In order to encourage local families to cherish the moments together and advocate the message of caring and love for each other, Prudential launched the "Family Hug Campaign" between late July and end of August to invite the general public to share photos that captured their warm hugging moments with their families. The campaign was well received with 20 lucky participants drawn out of all entries and awarded with a one-day local tour in mid-October (18th). On that day the winners traveled with their beloved family members and visited famous historical sites in the New Territories.
The trip was filled with activities and fun. A total of about 80 participants visited many of the Yuen Long heritage sites, such as, the Ping Shan Heritage Trail, Tai Fu Tai Mansion in San Tin, Tsim Bei Tsui wetland and the lychee garden in Dai Tong. More so, they also enjoyed a special feast prepared in traditional rural village style. During the tour, Prudential put together a lucky draw and gave out cash coupons for the "luckiest of the lucky ones". While touring around famous local monuments, the participants also shared among themselves experiences and tips on how to enhance family bonding and caring for the children. It was indeed an enjoyable weekend for everyone.
